NFPA 1001 Level 1 Provincial Certification Exam and Evaluation - LIVE FIRE

Due to Provincial Exam Application Deadlines, Registration Closes August 5, 2025 - No Late Registrations will be accepted.

This is the IFSAC/ProBoard NFPA 1001 Level 1 Certification Exam and Evaluation, including live fire practical skill evaluations.

Prerequisites:

• Minimum Attendance Requirements
• IFSTA Chapter 1/5 - Firefighter Safety & PPE
• IFSTA Chapter 2 - Communications
• IFSTA Chapter 3/4/16 - Building Construction & Fire Dynamics
• IFSTA Chapter 7/8 - Ropes, Knots, and Ladders
• IFSTA Chapter 9/11 - Forcible Entry & Ventilation
• IFSTA Chapter 12/13 - Fire Hose & Water Supply
• IFSTA Chapter 10 - Search & Rescue
• IFSTA Chapter 6/14 - Fire Extinguishers & Fire Suppression
• IFSTA Chapter 15 - Overhaul, Property Conservation, and Scene Preservation
• NFPA 470 Awareness
• NFPA 470 Operations

Applicants not meeting ALL required prerequisites by August 5, 2025 will be withdrawn from the Provincial Exam and Evaluation and not permitted to attend with the exception of courses scheduled after this date.

Please note that the Provincial Certification Exams and Evaluations may cover any or all theoretical knowledge and practical skills included within the NFPA 1001 Level 1 Firefighter Standard. Substantial self-study and review is necessary for success on the exams and evaluations.
